Brace yourselves for this week’s groundbreaking revelations that challenge our perception of untapped human potential. Brain surgeon Dr. Kevin Hart has unveiled hidden human capabilities that left many in disbelief. According to him, these extraordinary powers lie dormant within us, waiting to be activated through an implantation brain surgery. Dr. Hart uses a technique which involves slicing a part of the brain into several sections and installs a smart chip - his first client claims that it was painless! In the new release of the app, ACTUALIZE 2500 it seamlessly syncs your iPhone 467 to your brain which controls turning on and off these said powers. Could this be the moment of unlocking our true human powers? What type of education awaits us if more people get on the waitlist for this surgery? Keep reading until the end to hear what the first patient, Daniel, had to say about his university experience with unlocking these hidden potentialities.

The first power is multilingualism where humans can speak any language! You no longer have to worry about language barriers in a university and imagine a world where you can switch from language to language, be able to speak to anybody at your university and can interpret the world differently by being able to express yourself with words of any language. Imagine being able to collaborate with others and exchange ideas.

The second power is multitasking abilities where you can work on up to 4 different tasks all at the same time. Transcending the outdated human brain, we are now able to hold more than 7 items in the working memory. Imagine being able to habit stack your most favourite activity like watching a movie all while studying for a test? You can only imagine how less stressed you would be as a university student - being able to study for 4 different subjects all at the same time.

The next power is focus where all distractions disappear with Apple’s new Eyewear Technology, Apple Vision Pro X screening out distractions and extraneous stimuli. Equipped with a dial located on the right temple, you can now scan your environment to select an object in your visual field that can be tuned to a level of focus to which you desire. Now, imagine sitting in your lecture and being able to focus on your professor and nothing else!

Unfortunately however, our brain cannot currently facilitate all of the above powers at once, so patients must select between the powers one at a time and can only switch between them once every 30 days. Question : How do you think this has affected your learning in school?

Multilingualism comes with a whole host of benefits, for instance - learning concepts becomes more linear in an indescribable way, as my mind almost wraps itself around complex material with ease. Aside from the obvious, since I’ve been able to speak several languages, a handy technique I use when studying new material would be to write it in Spanish, German, or Mandarin! By the time I replicate my notes in three languages, the neurogenesis that precedes those processes make mastering learning objectives a breeze.

I was never one that passed in my mathematics courses with distinction as I found numbers and theorems very intangible and foreign, but almost synaesthetically, my newfound capabilities allow for me to exceptionally flourish in arithmetics as my mental calculations come organically and intuitively.

Arithmetic and mathematics aside, my language fluency feels elevated to a new summit, where I seem to effortlessly integrate newly learned lexicon from my assigned readings into my day-to-day speech. All of which reminds me of my current class in cognitive psychology, which described how verbal intelligence is not just the broad comprehension of vocabulary - but also the enrichment of perceptual experiences. For example, a simple word “flame” to most people conjures the same visual imagery - a fire. While complex words like “sacrifice” or “gratitude”, invoke variable mental images or perceptions - limited only by our proficiency in language.

The final thing I’d like to add would be to ensure our teaching coordinators effectively collaborate with these advancements, as these technological innovations are not here to compete with humans in the teaching profession - but rather to complement and enhance our learning experience. Technology is void of that irreplicable human warmth, a touch only afforded via another human being. These technologies serve us, and not the other way around. Well, at least for now!
