Landscape of Earth after 1000 Teachings Influence.

Overview

Solar Plexus is the fictional land set in the year 2333 for The Modular Quantum Frequency Module’s group assignment for Production 7. It is described as the greatest realm of Human and Martian civilization in the Milky Way combining the 1000 teachings of the Martians and Human spirit and equality.

History

War slowly started to brew amongst conflicting religions, beliefs and more. Earth had an increase of climate-related issues and Humans were so divided. Differing opinions of the planet's salvation and who would lead created conflict, and people contested for land and also to be heard. Poverty and famine spread across the globe over this power struggle to rise to the top.

In the Year 2200, the Martians came down after noticing our conflict and staying hidden for too long, vowing to help us reach a way of balance they had achieved so long ago. Tesla (secretly a martian organization) honed its resources into a quantum teleportator (i.e MARSPORTER)to access the sector tunnels of Mars that run beneath its devoid surface.

Once the Martians touched down the ways of 1000 Teachings (combining scientific solutions with moral direction) the Martian’s brought about technological change with their resources of Martian sand Klack and Martian groundwater Sepsis.

Sepsis Storage Tanks

This helped boost our technology, including better environmental practices to save our planet's resources and land. In this process the economic importance and dependence on the working class started to shift as predicted by the Martian ways.

Due to this technological advancement and outside direction humans were able to gain access to bountiful renewable energy and fuel shifting the focus of society towards the growth and strength of the human spirit, contribution to knowledge systems and lastly a healthier life. Due to lack of fighting over resources and their economic value, diverse cultures started to integrate and challenge their own individual biases now not focused on greed and power.

Leadership turned back to forms seen in Indigenous communities whereas the voice of the people speaks for the combined thought process of the overall communities.

Location

Due to the innovation of Tesla and the design of their quantum teleporters, Earth and Mars have become equal living grounds for both humans and Martians. Quantum teleporters allow access to the sector tunnels of Mars that run beneath its devoid surface. Citizens are able to move freely between the two locations and are free to habitat both environments. The relations created between humans and Martians have presented an ecological utopia full of shared resources and culture.

Landscape

The knowledge passed on to the humans from the Martians has allowed Earth to evolve into a Quasi-forest utopia landscape, combining modern industrialization with a natural landscape. On Earth, humans live alongside their resources, with an abundance of foliage and plant life available for use at all times. This plethora of resources has been made possible due to the use of Martian sand (Klack), which acts as a remarkable fertilizer.

Fauna and Urban City

Taught to us by the Martians who have an abundance of resources beneath their barren surface. This is why scientists believed Mars to be an uninhibited planet for so long because at first glance Mars is an infertile desolate sandy landscape. However, it is beneath the surface in the sector tunnels of Mars that their life is able to flourish.

Land Use

Based on the holistic practices passed onto the humans from the Martians earth has become a holistic utopia in which resources and space are distributed evenly for all because now we grow our own resources. As a result, Solar Plexus was created; a utopian agricultural land in which space is reserved for the use of growing resources and food. Due to the abundant and close accessibility of resources as well as our heightened development of technology vehicles have become almost obsolete to humans. Earth has evolved into an urban grassland available for humans to grow and farm their resources.

New Housing Units

Weather

The abundance of plant life on earth has resulted in an excess amount of oxygen in the air, removing carbon dioxide and ending the fear of trees going extinct. The lack of dependency on vehicles and factors for resources now has reduced the global warming crisis. The cross-pollination of Mars fauna and ours has created super plants that provide more energy and sustenance. Therefore, we no longer eat meat but rather survive off of plants. This has allowed biospheres to return to a state of balance and harmony. The overall reduction of global warming has alleviated animal extinction.

Resources

When the Martians came down to earth they provided humans with some of their vast resources that were able to survive in both landscapes. Martian groundwater known as Sepsis provides natural healing powers that have releaved hopsital overcrowding and the overbearing need for healthcare workers. As a result, life expectancy has gone up thanks to Sepsis ability to heal most illnesses and injuries. The Martians also brought to earth their sand known as Klack which acts as a natural fuel and fertilizer allowing for Mars fauna to be grown on Earth in abundance. The result of these holistic resources brought to Earth by the Martians has allowed earth to evolve into a fruitful urban city center full of rich fauna and life.

Emotional Atmosphere

Equity, Access, Inclusion, Diversity, and Social Justice.

Culture

To ensure that our new society treats all of our citizens equally and with dignity, there are no distinct cultures present. While they still do exist, they are not so heavily classified. Cultures are rather fluid commonalities between others to create an all-inclusive, vibrant society where every citizen is free to live as they wish. In our world, all walks of life, cultures and interests are appreciated for every citizen to live in collective and individual harmony.

Education

Infographic Eyewear

To contrast Earth’s ideals, students are educated through holistic explorations of the real world. With that being said, there are no schools with specific classes that all students are forced to attend. Instead, classrooms are used for collaboration purposes or a meeting place where group discussions are encouraged. These discussions should consist of inquiry based learning since the world is open-ended to everyone’s interpretation. There are no right or wrong answers, everyone “learns through failure” (Thumlert, 2022). While classrooms still exist, they are not the primary source of learning. Instead, the world is the classroom. Students will use headsets and eye sets (infographic eyewear) created by the Martians technology, that provide an abundance of knowledge and information that go above Earth’s outdated curriculum. For instance, students will acquire knowledge on terrain, language (L2 language and Martian language), biology, composition etc. Not only this, but these headsets permit students to interact and delve deeper into their knowledge. Along with acquiring the knowledge, they will also understand its purpose in life and the ways in which they can use their knowledge throughout their lives. This way of learning will provide context and meaning to our knowledge which will motivate students to learn and acquire new passions, desires and walks of life.

Health

Physical Health Our world treats health through holistic means of healing. One main healing property comes from a resource provided by the Martians called Sepsis, a groundwater that has immense healing powers and can be used to cure any disease. Sepsis can be applied topically or ingested to heal any sort of sickness. As we are evolving, healthcare professionals are transforming Spesis into different forms of medication to target specific health needs (pills, liquid, cream etc). Mental Health: Mental health is just as much of a priority as physical health. Ultimate harmony is promoted throughout the world and everyone’s health and happiness is preserved. The overall goal is for open health-related communication. Nobody is alone to self-determine their health conditions since medical experts/ interventionists are available to routine care and check-ups on every citizen through a holistic approach.

Family/ Community

Ohana means family. Family means community. Both terms are interchangeable in society. Nobody is left behind in a vibrant world where everyone is equal. While there are still families, couples, children and marriage is still an option for all, there should never be a divide. Every citizen takes care of one another and constantly checks in within their local communities. Each local community consists of families living in quasi-treehouses or urban style apartments. Within these communities, all of the citizens are expected to love and care for each other. In regard to marriage, it will always be an option rather than an end-goal for couples. There are no rules/ laws surrounding marriage, instead, it is a spiritual connection between two people (regardless of gender) rather than a traditional practice. In this community, gender is fluid and not categorized under specific traits or descriptions. Couples may choose to have children while also remembering that every young citizen is their child, as everyone is responsible for taking care of others. Traditional practices are also encouraged as long as they become all-inclusive to the communities.

Holistic Learning Practices

Religion

Religions are endless within the world but they all come as one. The 1000 Martian hands principles are taught, meaning there are 1000 walks of life and religions that integrate as one. Every citizen is free to practice what they believe in as long as they have mutual respect for others’ walks of life. While individuality is permitted through religious practices, everybody comes together to express it and appreciate everyone else’s walk of life. Every citizen is valued and supported regardless of their spiritual walk of life.

Economy

Money

In this new world, the economy has changed dramatically. Currency of any kind has been abolished, and in its place is a simple barter and trade system for various items. However, trade is not a huge factor in this new world because every resource that is needed can be plucked by any individual from another dimension. Using a MARSPORTER - modeled after the MARTIAN-XB250 - anything that one can dream of can be teleported into this reality.

Government

The governments function is to keep the known world stable and make sure technology is up to date. Individuals are able to look past their selfish desires thanks to the cultural impact Mars had. Also, using new found technology, the MARITIME-X2773 allows for politicians to hold endless amounts of debate in a dreamworld. One year in this dream world amounts to one second in reality. This allows for debates in parliament to be debated for over a century in the minds of each member of parliament. It also expedites the democratic process, allowing for a more fluid and functional governing body.

Jobs

Individuals work jobs for the greater good. For example, a restaurant owner will clean his own bathroom because it is everyone’s restaurant. He must keep it clean for the collective. The desire to help one another allows individuals to come together to build structures, cities, and/or recreational spaces that will help the society at large. The impact of having such a culture allows for jobs to not be seen as jobs. Human beings have gone back to their roots in terms of growing and adapting to the world at their own pace. They are not working a shift but living their best life. This allows for society to productively function and prosper.

Research

i.e ID knowledge systems (learning incorrect environments, looking at how our actions affect the world at large), multimodal forms of literacy, iPads and infographics (glasses), council systems similar to ID,

equity, access, inclusion, diversity, and social justice.

The Lost Files

Create Your Individual Pages that link from your home page: Each individual page should be in story form: a first-or third-person account of living in this world that reflects on the educational/learning aspects as well as other facets of the the world (e.g., using memoirs, diary, or a story about someone living in this world). Think 500-1000 words for a story unless you really want to write more.

Ensure you address aspects of learning and education: and what and how do people learn? where, when do people we learn? How is curriculum understood/used (if there is one)? What tools are utilized? What is the role of the teacher (if there is one)?

Group Reflection

How was this future of education inspired by your observations in the present? What process did you go through to construct your future narrative? What challenges did you face in imagining the ‘future’ of education? Is this kind of storytelling important? How does this connect to ideas we have been exploring in the course? Which course ideas/texts (may have) guided your thinking in some way? What sources did you go to as research to inform your perspective/future story? (Be sure to include a section in your wiki where you discuss what research you did/what informed your imagined future in education).

The Big Question: Did thinking critically about the future help you think critically about the present? If so, in what ways?

Group Authorship though if differently people have different perspectives, please share those differences and take away points.

No more than 400 word range if individual (on your website), nor more than 800 word range if group (on the wiki).
