To contrast Earth’s ideals, students are educated through holistic explorations of the real world. With that being said, there are no schools with specific classes that all students are forced to attend. Instead, classrooms are used for collaboration purposes or a meeting place where group discussions are encouraged. These discussions should consist of inquiry based learning since the world is open-ended to everyone’s interpretation. There are no right or wrong answers, everyone “learns through failure” (Thumlert, 2022). While classrooms still exist, they are not the primary source of learning. Instead, the world is the classroom. Students will use headsets and eye sets (see Infographic Eyewear for more in-depth look and explanation) created by the Martians technology, that provide an abundance of knowledge and information that go above Earth’s outdated curriculum. For instance, students will acquire knowledge on terrain, language (L2 language and Martian language), biology, composition etc. Not only this, but these headsets permit students to interact and delve deeper into their knowledge. Along with acquiring the knowledge, they will also understand its purpose in life and the ways in which they can use their knowledge throughout their lives. This way of learning will provide context and meaning to our knowledge which will motivate students to learn and acquire new passions, desires and walks of life.

Physical Health:
Our world treats health through holistic means of healing. One main healing property comes from a resource provided by the Martians called Sepsis, a groundwater that has immense healing powers and can be used to cure any disease. Sepsis can be applied topically or ingested to heal any sort of sickness. As we are evolving, healthcare professionals are transforming Sepsis into different forms of medication to target specific health needs (pills, liquid, cream etc).

Community
Mental Health:
Mental health is just as much of a priority as physical health. Ultimate harmony is promoted throughout the world and everyone’s health and happiness is preserved. The overall goal is for open health-related communication. Nobody is alone to self-determine their health conditions since medical experts/ interventionists are available to routine care and check-ups on every citizen through a holistic approach.

Family/ Community
Ohana means family

Family means community. Both terms are interchangeable in society. Nobody is left behind in a vibrant world where everyone is equal. While there are still families, couples, children and marriage is still an option for all, there should never be a divide. Every citizen takes care of one another and constantly checks in within their local communities. Each local community consists of families living in quasi-treehouses or urban style apartments. Within these communities, all of the citizens are expected to love and care for each other. In regard to marriage, it will always be an option rather than an end-goal for couples. There are no rules/ laws surrounding marriage, instead, it is a spiritual connection between two people (regardless of gender) rather than a traditional practice. In this community, gender is fluid and not categorized under specific traits or descriptions. Couples may choose to have children while also remembering that every young citizen is their child, as everyone is responsible for taking care of others. Traditional practices are also encouraged as long as they become all-inclusive to the communities.

Religions are endless within the world but they all come as one. The 1000 Martian hands principles are taught, meaning there are 1000 walks of life and religions that integrate as one. Every citizen is free to practice what they believe in as long as they have mutual respect for others’ walks of life. While individuality is permitted through religious practices, everybody comes together to express it and appreciate everyone else’s walk of life. Every citizen is valued and supported regardless of their spiritual walk of life.

Individuals work jobs for the greater good. For example, a restaurant owner will clean his own bathroom because it is everyone’s restaurant. He must keep it clean for the collective. The desire to help one another allows individuals to come together to build structures, cities, and/or recreational spaces that will help the society at large. The impact of having such a culture allows for jobs to not be seen as jobs. Human beings have gone back to their roots in terms of growing and adapting to the world at their own pace. They are not working a shift, but living their best life. This allows for society to productively function and prosper.

Group Reflection
In the world we live in today, education can be observed in a way where individuals are not fully learning a topic, rather, they are memorizing information for a short period of time in order to pass a test. The life of a student in elementary and high school is to commit 8-10 hours a day in classrooms and then go home to do 1-3 hours of homework. We have observed that students at a young age are not given the freedom to discover themselves and what they like. Instead, they are put into an institution in order to check boxes and mimic accomplishments. At the end of the day, the institution of schooling can feel like a prison sentence where personal growth is inhibited as opposed to being enhanced. Our future wants to incorporate freedom in people's daily lives in order for them to want to learn as opposed to wanting to pass a test. The education system today encourages shortcuts due to the amount of time that schooling takes up, and so students will find ways to carve time for themselves that will infringe on their academic success. Students are put into a position where they must either sacrifice their academic success or their own personal time. Our future world wants to take sacrifice out of the equation, and incorporate a constant sense of pleasure and learning for the individual.
Imagining a world where the ‘future’ of education is all perfect is easier said than done. Coming up with issues within the education system is easy, yet when it comes to solutions and creating a world where education is “fixed,” it is more complex than imagined. For instance, we wanted to create an education system where students learn through holistic explorations of the real world. The main challenge associated with that is creating holistic means of learning that involve real-world experiences while avoiding isolating our students. Would students still sit in a classroom for long periods? Would there be a specific curriculum to follow? What qualifications would teachers need in this world? Should there even be teachers? How would we optimize students’ knowledge of the real world? How would we make education accessible to all? All of these questions challenged us to imagine the future of education and create a new system that would benefit the future generation in various ways. First and foremost, our priority regarding schooling was to make it more relevant to our world. Students should always be aware of why they are learning and the purpose of their learning.
A significant challenge with that was creating means of knowledge that do not take away from core concepts in education that all students need to know. How would we incorporate holistic education, all while maintaining basic core skills? As a result, we came up with infographic eyewear that would permit students to learn various subjects. Another major challenge was creating an education system that promoted social interaction and inquiry without having students sit in their classrooms for long periods where they would eventually tune out. Having long classroom periods does not benefit everyone, yet the complete removal hinders social interactions, discussions, and collaboration which are essential skills, especially in our world. As a result, we combined classroom instruction with infographic eyewear to promote discussions, critical thinking and all the valuable social skills after acquiring the knowledge through the eyewear. Overall, we concluded that imagining the ‘future’ of education is easier said than done. Nonetheless, a better education starts to form as we collaborate and share ideas.
For our future narrative, we wanted to go beyond our current two-dimensional education system that lacks depth. As discussed throughout the course of this term our education system is based primarily on memorization and lecture-styled based learning. Therefore, we wanted to improve this system by implementing multimodal facets into the curriculum plan of Solar Plexus. Here students learn through holistic practices, working side by side with the peaceful and technologically advanced Martians. Students are free to develop their critical thinking on topics of interest rather than forced memorization. In our future, the world is your classroom and students are encouraged to take their learning outdoors looking beyond the limitations of tests and textbooks.
What was challenging about creating our futuristic education system is that it required us to dissect and reflect on the system we grew up in. Forcing us to pinpoint the flaws most of us were exposed to during our time in school and discussing how we would have liked to improve our experiences.  Although our future is a work of fictional storytelling and narration hopefully one day our real education system can adapt similar aspects to that of the future we have designed.
Research
Looking back at our course discussions many forms of holistic, multimodal literacy forms were used to create the perfect world for true and enriching education. We examined the importance of community in Indigenous Knowledge systems (various age groups learn together, life itself is the learning experience to not blur the lines of subjects seen in traditional schooling), and the ideas of learning in the correct environment (fauna and urban city are tied). Indigenous peoples also understand their impacts on the world at large and keep those implications in mind when influencing the world around them; knowledge is power animist be used responsibly and for good.
The glasses became our form of multimodal literacy as seen in a few texts in the course when speaking about iPad and VR in classrooms. Furthermore it allows our students to access all the information they see as fit and essentially "play" in their environment and seek the answers they choose to. Having this database also allows the true voices and true origins to be delivered quickly to students eliminating incorrect paraphrasing. The glasses also work as a form of L2 literacy allowing students to learning multiple languages at the same time while giving them tools to navigate their environment well.
Students now can engage in the many forms they learn through audio, visuals, texts and much more! The headsets and playing within the environment move similarly to fail based idea of learning within video games as the students can effectively like Jarvis in Iron Man, cascade images, apply tests to their environment in a virtual setting, or look deeper into objects and things using the glasses. The glasses themselves provoke inquiry based learning as well with access to all types of information at a curious thought or slightest whim. See here for example: / Video of Optics and Features of the Infographic Eyewear!
The world at large with 1000 Teachings can be seen as a form of pedagogical values instilled into TC's today. All walks of life and backgrounds are welcome where society is moving towards a more diverse and inclusive society. Pieces of the course were used to inspire the overall idea of education being based in play, experiment and in the correct context as well to provide a richer learning environment.
NOTES: ID knowledge systems (learning incorrect environments, looking at how our actions affect the world at large), multimodal forms of literacy, iPads and infographics (glasses), and council systems similar to ID. pedagogy in relation to teaching in present day, equity, inclusion, diversity.

Landscape of Earth after 1000 Teachings Influence.

Overview[edit]

Solar Plexus is the fictional land set in the year 2333 for The Modular Quantum Frequency Module’s group assignment for Production 7. It is described as the greatest realm of Human and Martian civilization in the Milky Way combining the 1000 Teachings of the Martians and Human spirit and equality.

History[edit]

War slowly started to brew amongst conflicting religions, beliefs and more. Earth had an increase of climate-related issues and Humans were so divided. Differing opinions of the planet's salvation and who would lead created conflict, and people contested for land and also to be heard. Poverty and famine spread across the globe over this power struggle to rise to the top.

In the Year 2200, the Martians came down after noticing our conflict and staying hidden for too long, vowing to help us reach a way of balance they had achieved so long ago. Tesla (secretly a martian organization) honed its resources into a quantum teleportator (i.e MARSPORTER)to access the sector tunnels of Mars that run beneath its devoid surface.

Once the Martians touched down the ways of 1000 Teachings (combining scientific solutions with moral direction) the Martian’s brought about technological change with their resources of Martian sand Klack and Martian groundwater Sepsis.

Sepsis Storage Tanks

This helped boost our technology, including better environmental practices to save our planet's resources and land. In this process the economic importance and dependence on the working class started to shift as predicted by the Martian ways.

Due to this technological advancement and outside direction humans were able to gain access to bountiful renewable energy and fuel shifting the focus of society towards the growth and strength of the human spirit, contribution to knowledge systems and lastly a healthier life. Due to lack of fighting over resources and their economic value, diverse cultures started to integrate and challenge their own individual biases now not focused on greed and power.

Leadership turned back to forms seen in Indigenous communities whereas the voice of the people speaks for the combined thought process of the overall communities.

Location[edit]

Due to the innovation of Tesla and the design of their quantum teleporters, Earth and Mars have become equal living grounds for both humans and Martians. Quantum teleporters allow access to the sector tunnels of Mars that run beneath its devoid surface. Citizens are able to move freely between the two locations and are free to habitat both environments. The relations created between humans and Martians have presented an ecological utopia full of shared resources and culture.

Geography[edit]

Martian Underground

Landscape[edit]

The knowledge passed on to the humans from the Martians has allowed Earth to evolve into a Quasi-forest utopia landscape, combining modern industrialization with a natural landscape. On Earth, humans live alongside their resources, with an abundance of foliage and plant life available for use at all times. This plethora of resources has been made possible due to the use of Martian sand (Klack), which acts as a remarkable fertilizer.

Fauna and Urban City

Taught to us by the Martians who have an abundance of resources beneath their barren surface. This is why scientists believed Mars to be an uninhibited planet for so long because at first glance Mars is an infertile desolate sandy landscape. However, it is beneath the surface in the sector tunnels of Mars that their life is able to flourish.

Land Use[edit]

Based on the holistic practices passed onto the humans from the Martians earth has become a holistic utopia in which resources and space are distributed evenly for all because now we grow our own resources. As a result, Solar Plexus was created; a utopian agricultural land in which space is reserved for the use of growing resources and food. Due to the abundant and close accessibility of resources as well as our heightened development of technology vehicles have become almost obsolete to humans. Earth has evolved into an urban grassland available for humans to grow and farm their resources.

New Housing Units

Weather[edit]

The abundance of plant life on earth has resulted in an excess amount of oxygen in the air, removing carbon dioxide and ending the fear of trees going extinct. The lack of dependency on vehicles and factors for resources now has reduced the global warming crisis. The cross-pollination of Mars fauna and ours has created super plants that provide more energy and sustenance. Therefore, we no longer eat meat but rather survive off of plants. This has allowed biospheres to return to a state of balance and harmony. The overall reduction of global warming has alleviated animal extinction.

Resources[edit]

When the Martians came down to earth they provided humans with some of their vast resources that were able to survive in both landscapes. Martian groundwater known as Sepsis provides natural healing powers that have releaved hopsital overcrowding and the overbearing need for healthcare workers. As a result, life expectancy has gone up thanks to Sepsis ability to heal most illnesses and injuries. The Martians also brought to earth their sand known as Klack which acts as a natural fuel and fertilizer allowing for Mars fauna to be grown on Earth in abundance. The result of these holistic resources brought to Earth by the Martians has allowed earth to evolve into a fruitful urban city center full of rich fauna and life.

Emotional Atmosphere[edit]

Equity, Access, Inclusion, Diversity, and Social Justice.

Culture[edit]

To ensure that our new society treats all of our citizens equally and with dignity, there are no distinct cultures present. While they still do exist, they are not so heavily classified. Cultures are rather fluid commonalities between others to create an all-inclusive, vibrant society where every citizen is free to live as they wish. In our world, all walks of life, cultures and interests are appreciated for every citizen to live in collective and individual harmony.

Education[edit]

Health[edit]

Physical Health: Our world treats health through holistic means of healing. One main healing property comes from a resource provided by the Martians called Sepsis, a groundwater that has immense healing powers and can be used to cure any disease. Sepsis can be applied topically or ingested to heal any sort of sickness. Mental Health: Mental health is just as much of a priority as physical health. Ultimate harmony is promoted throughout the world and everyone’s health and happiness is preserved. The overall goal is for open health-related communication. Nobody is alone to self-determine their health conditions since medical experts/ interventionists are available to routine care and check-ups on every citizen through a holistic approach.

Family/ Community[edit]

Holistic Learning Practices

Religion[edit]

Religions are endless within the world but they all come as one. The 1000 Martian hands principles are taught, meaning there are 1000 walks of life and religions that integrate as one. Every citizen is free to practice what they believe in as long as they have mutual respect for others’ walks of life. While individuality is permitted through religious practices, everybody comes together to express it and appreciate everyone else’s walk of life. Every citizen is valued and supported regardless of their spiritual walk of life.

Economy[edit]

Money[edit]

In this new world, the economy has changed dramatically. Currency of any kind has been abolished, and in its place is a simple barter and trade system for various items. However, trade is not a huge factor in this new world because every resource that is needed can be plucked by any individual from another dimension. Using a MARSPORTER - modeled after the MARTIAN-XB250 - anything that one can dream of can be teleported into this reality.

Government[edit]

The governments function is to keep the known world stable and make sure technology is up to date. Individuals are able to look past their selfish desires thanks to the cultural impact Mars had. Also, using new found technology, the MARITIME-X2773 allows for politicians to hold endless amounts of debate in a dreamworld. One year in this dream world amounts to one second in reality. This allows for debates in parliament to be debated for over a century in the minds of each member of parliament. It also expedites the democratic process, allowing for a more fluid and functional governing body.

Jobs[edit]

We see jobs as our passions and ways to contribute to the worlds - Council of 1000 Teachings

They are not working a shift but living their best life. This allows for society to productively function and prosper.

Group Reflection[edit]

Research[edit]
