Dear Glasses Journal Log,
My alarm just went off, it's about 7:00 am and I am now getting ready for school but thought I would tell you about what my day holds. Our day today is split into two sections. First, we are using our eyewear to learn about Sepsis and its biological makeup for our biology unit. We are using our eyewear to learn about its origins, its properties and its uses. We will also travel to the lab where Martian scientists will show us how they use Sepsis to heal all kind of medical conditions. Then, we will all participate in creating different forms of Sepsis. I am really looking forward to creating skin care out of Sepsis that will heal all skin conditions and create a healthy complexion. I reallyyyyyy enjoy using our eyewear to learn about different subjects, it is soooooo different than the way my ancestors used to learn! Like, what is a textbook!? Weird. Anyways, our eyewear lets us learn however we want which accommodates all kind of learning styles, it’s really great. Also, we can travel to any destination to learn more about a specific topic. Last week, we went on a field trip to a rain forest to learn about different plants. It was awesome! I screenshotted everything I found interesting and added my own interpretation to it. After our eyewear session where we learn all about Sepsis, we are all meeting in our classroom to discuss our findings and fill in whatever missing gaps we have. We are then all going to reflect and collaborate on different ways we can alter Sepsis so that it targets specific needs. I know my classmate was saying she wanted to make pills out of sepsis to cure headaches, stomach-aches, muscle pain etc. Cool isn’t it? I cannot wait to see all of my classmates and hear about their experience today! The social interaction is the highlight of my day. We really value community here, it’s like family, so I really value hearing what others have to say about their learning and their interpretations. I love inquiry based learning! We also learn through failure which is the best! No one is nervous to make mistakes and we all try our ultimate best. If we do fail, we try again until we succeed. Once school ends, I’m going to my weekly mental health check. It’s basically a short session with a medical expert where you discuss any worries or anxieties you have. They just want to ensure you’re prioritizing your mental health to uphold harmony within our society, I really do love these sessions. It gives me an opportunity to unpack my day and it reassures me that I am constantly supported. When I finally get home tonight, I’m going to practice Martian language and then head to bed for another great day!
Until tomorrow!
